Peter Charles Charron

Peter Charles Charron - Rutland - Peter Charles Charron, 67, of Rutland and formerly of West Haven died Saturday evening November 2, 2024 at the Rutland Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 11,1957 in Rutland, VT the son of Charles Joseph and Bernice Mary (Dumas) Charron. Peter grew up in West Haven on the family farm, graduating from the Fair Haven Union High School in 1975. Following graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving in Germany until his Honorable Discharge.
He was a talented carpenter and operated his own construction company for many years, always willing to share his knowledge and expertise with those he worked with. He impressed many with his metal working and vinyl siding abilities, earning the admiration of anyone he worked for. Peter enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He was an avid Red Sox and NY Giants fan and enjoyed the company of family and friends. His talent in carpentry was matched by his ability to form lasting friendships with anybody he came across. He was loved by many and known for his charming personality, contagious smile and sense of humor. Peter fought hard to overcome alcohol disease.
Survivors include 2 sons Peter Charles Charron II and Michael Andrew Charron, both of Rutland, Sisters Cheryl (Jim) Vadnais of West Haven, Peggy (Steve) Hunt of Fair Haven. Mary (Bob) McConlogue of Shelburne, Karen (Harold) Weissman of Rutland, and Laura (Pete) Parent of Orwell; Brothers Wayne (Jane) Charron of Rutland, Charles "Lee" (Brenda) Charron of New Haven, Timothy (Mary Ann) Charron of Castleton, David (Dawn) Charron, Brian Charron, and John Charron all of West Haven, his former wife Michelle Charron of Rutland, also survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father on Sep 23, 1993, mother on July 14, 2004, a son Andrew William Charron on May 16, 2022 and a sister Jill Marie Charron on Oct. 4, 2007.
Friends may call from 4pm until 6pm on Saturday November 9, 2024 at the Aldous Funeral Home, 44 North Main St, Rutland, Vt. A private burial with military honors will be in the Charron Family Cemetery in West Haven.
