PETER DECRANE age 68, beloved father of Jessica and Mark; cherished son of the late Vincent and Flora (nee Friday); dearest brother of Barbara Bumbacco (husband Edward), Donna Panzica (husband Timothy), Michael (wife Sandy), Melinda Capone (husband Christopher), Melissa Gary (husband Brian), Joan Bova (husband Joseph) and Mary Jean Salinas (husband Carlos); dear nephew, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend of many. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Peter to American Diabetes Association diabetes.org. Peter was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 1, 1955. He graduated from Gilmour Academy in 1973, the University of Notre Dame in 1977, and later received his MBA in architecture from the University of Chicago. Being in the outdoors was of great interest, especially if it involved sailing or hiking. Carrying on a great conversation brought him the utmost enjoyment, along with writing business plans and completing community planning. Peter was also involved in Bible studies, PSR and the men's prayer group. His family describes him as intelligent, social, disciplined and punctual. Above all was his great devotion to his family and faith. Peter passed away peacefully on January 7, 2024. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Friday, January 19, 2024 at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 32820 Baldwin Road, Solon, Ohio at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Peter at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD.
