Peter Fauser Obituary

Peter Carl Fauser
April 14, 1970 - September 16, 2024
Pete was born in Petaluma on April 14, 1970, the son of the late Victor E. Fauser and Elaine (Hansen) MacKenzie. A fourth-generation Petaluman, he attended McNear elementary school and Petaluma Junior High School. He graduated from Petaluma High School in 1988. He was baptized and had his first communion and confirmation at St. Vincent's Church in Petaluma.
Pete excelled at sports, including baseball, soccer, basketball, golf and tennis. Alone or with a team, he was always there. He was beyond an enthusiastic fan, often yelling advice (and disdain) at the top of his lungs while watching sports on TV – mostly football, basketball and soccer. His favorite team was the NFL Raiders. Fittingly, they won the game for him the night he passed.
He lived in Waterloo, Iowa, for three years as an adult and came to know his Iowa family well. Later, he loved travelling there to see his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pete found his best job at Schmidbauer Lumber company in Eureka driving a forklift. Between this, and painting houses on weekends with his buddy Jeremy, he was a happy worker.
Pete is survived by his mother Elaine MacKenzie (Don); his sister Mary Gail Baker (Michael James); his stepbrother Michael MacKenzie (Robyn); his two children Ashton Fauser (Blake) and Victor S. Fauser; his aunt Barbara (Hansen) Adams and uncle Steve Adams; his cousin Jeanne Adams (Bill); and nine cousins and their families in Iowa. He was "Uncle Pete" to nephews Michael Baker (Ali) and family and Matthew Baker (Kacy) and family. He is also survived by his former wife Lela (Greg).
He was predeceased by his father, Victor E. Fauser; grandparents Peter H. and Leota Fauser; grandparents Carl and Ida Hansen; his close cousin Mark Adams; two cousins in Iowa and all his aunts and uncles in Iowa.
Pete had many good friends who supported him all the time and in many ways. In return, he was a good friend to them. He was also willing to help anyone who needed it. He leaves a loving memory to all who knew him.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 am at Parent Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory; 850 Keokuk St, Petaluma, CA.
The family suggests donations to Hospice in Pete's memory.

Stumbling onto Pete's passing is quite depressing. We spent countless weekends playing pick up basketball together back in the day & established quite a liking/respect for one another. Crazy to think about how quickly time flies by... he was such a good dude

Much love to Pete's friends & family...

I will forever cherish the memories I have of our short time together 30 years ago. You will never know how much you were thought of throughout the years and how much you truly meant to me. That big laugh and that deep voice I will forever miss. I hate that I didn't get the chance to say good bye or give you that last hug but, know I will think of you every day. My heart is conflicted with being happy you are no longer in pain or suffering but breaks for those you leave behind that love you, selfishly including myself. Sending prayers, love and healing light to your family. RIP my friend. I'll get that hug when we meet again.
