Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 with his family by his side. Age 79 years. Peter was the son of the late Chester and Frances Jamrog. He married Sheila Monk, his loving wife of 60 years, on December 11, 1965. She survives him. Peter enjoyed cooking and was an exceptionally good cook. Sunday dinners and holidays, where his family gathered, were his favorite. He loved his family and raised his grandsons. Peter retired from Saginaw Steering Gear after 41 years of service. In his spare time, he helped family, friends and neighbors as a handyman doing small jobs and painting rooms. He was always willing to help others. Peter will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving besides his wife Sheila are his children, Johnny (Liz) Jamrog, Mary (Bill) Swartout, Peter (Liz) Jamrog and Paul Jamrog; six grandchildren, Mi'ko (Jonathan) Collins, Johnny, Jordan and Peter Jamrog, Madison and Brayden Swartout; two great-grandchildren, Johnny and Jordan Jamrog. Peter was preceded in death by his brother, Chester Jamrog and his nephew Baby Chet.
Honoring Mr. Jamrog's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
