Peter J. Klimczyk

Peter J. Klimczyk, of East Bridgewater, passed away on May 14, 2024. Peter was born in Poland and emigrated to the United States in 1949. Peter has lived in East Bridgewater for over 50 years.
Peter graduated from Brookline High School and attended Wentworth University. In the early years Peter enjoyed skiing, coaching his son's soccer team, and participating in Boy Scouts. In more recent years he could be found cooking on the grill for family, watching old western movies and playing cards and chess. Peter's family fondly remembers cruises and a memorable trip to Spain. Peter's career began at Merritt's Sportswear, continued with General Dynamics at the Quincy Shipyard, and retired from CJP Construction and Lucini Bus Lines. His years working for various companies included iron work, pipe laying, truck driving and various degrees of construction. He will be deeply missed.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Katie (Sherry) Klimczyk of East Bridgewater. Devoted father of William Klimczyk and his wife Jessica of ME, and Jeff Klimczyk and his wife Eva of Halifax. Cherished Grampa of Brian and his wife Eliana, Brennan and his wife Caitlin, Brittany, Samantha, Alexis and her husband Adam, Arianna, Ashley, Bradley, Dillon and Colin and Great-Grampa to Liam and Collin. Loving brother-in-law of Lorraine Young of Pocasset and Sally Glinski of Buzzards Bay. Also survived by several nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday from 12-2 PM at Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 35 Spring Street, East Bridgewater. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home on Sunday at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Peter may be made to the Pat Roche Hospice House, 86 Turkey Hill Lane, Hingham Ma 02043.
