Peter Krajcovic, a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and husband, passed away peacefully in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on 02 September 2024 at the age of 86. He was born in Toronto Ohio on 26 March 1938. His life was marked by a profound commitment to his family and friends. He left behind a legacy of service, love and compassion.
Pete graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central High School, Steubenville, Ohio in 1956. He married his loving wife of 66 years, Caroline Glover on 09 June 1958. He enlisted in the Air Force on 06 December 1957 where he served as Aerospace control and warning systems operator. He retired from the USAF on 31 December 1985 after 28 years as a Senior Master Sergeant and settled in Colorado Springs.
After Service to his country, he continued his public service by working for the U S Postal Service in Woodland Park Colorado. Pete brought his gentle and kind demeanor to the workplace and made friends wherever he went. He always had a kind word and happy smile for all people he encountered.
Pete's impact extended far beyond his service. He embraced every opportunity to help others and make people feel good until shortly before his death. He was known as a kind gentle soul spreading kindness and joy to those he met. His wife Caroline put it best when she said, "no one could say a bad word about him."
Pete was a loving family man. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years Caroline; sons James (wife Kathy), David (wife Vicki) and John Krajcovic; brothers Mike Krajcovic; sisters Mary-Ann LeMasters and Patricia Barrick; numerous grand-children, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Peter Anthony and Anne Krajcovic, son Peter Krajcovic and three brothers: Bernie, Jerome and Johnny. His family was his cornerstone, and his love and dedication to them were the driving forces behind his life.
In remembering Pete, we honor a long life well-lived. A life characterized by professional excellence, unwavering service to others, dedication to his country and a deep, abiding love for his family and God. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him and benefit the countless lives he touched. His life reflected what it means to live with purpose and faith.
A celebration of his life, for Family only memorial will be held on Friday September 20, 2024, at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925
In Lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in his memory to Gentiva Foundation Gentiva Foundation hospice Colorado Springs CO.
