Uncasville - Peter C. Labenski, 81, husband of Rhonda (Corey) (Gagliardo) Labenski, died on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Born in Norwich on June 7, 1943, he was the son of the late, Peter E. and Frances T. (Szalkowski) Labenski.
Peter graduated from Norwich Academy class of 1960, and the American Academy of Mortuary Science in 1962. He was associated in the family business, Labenski Funeral Home, started by his parents in 1938, until his retirement in 2015 following 55 years of service.
In addition to his wife Rhonda, he is survived by his four children: Dawn Labenski, Kim Labenski-Messier (Wayne), Victoria Rainville (Jeffrey), and Luke Labenski (Parivash Javidian); two step children, Jennifer (Gagliardo) Truken (Michael) and Kimberly Gagliardo; his sister Teresa (Labenski) Kiershenhieter; two grandchildren, Javid and Brady; and four step grandchildren, Sophia, Alana, Gianni, and Anthony.
Services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Or to a charity of donor's choice.
