Peter Marzullo

Peter Joseph Marzullo, a cherished husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, on September 2, 1943, to Jack and Catherine Marzullo. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Janet, and his son Marc. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy, and his children Christine (Eric), John (Karina), and Alicia (Ben). He had 5 grandchildren, Evan, Ella, Cara, Catherine, and Dylan. He was a brother-in-law and life-long friend to Carmel and Fred, an uncle to Patti (John) and Rosemary (Joe), and a great-uncle to Jack, Caden, Alex, and Owen. He was a close, longtime friend to Fred's sister, Betty (Tony).
Peter was a graduate of Pace University where he studied Finance. He worked for Lorillard Tobacco Company for 40 years until his retirement in 2009. After many years living in Oakland, New Jersey, Peter and his family moved to Greensboro, North Carolina in 1997. He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
He never met a stranger, and everyone always enjoyed his warm smile and loving personality. In his heart, he never stopped rooting for the Brooklyn Dodgers.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 3, 2023 from 4:00 until 8:00pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff, NJ. The funeral mass will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 10:30am at St. Elizabeth's RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff, NJ. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. A memorial mass will take place at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Greensboro, NC at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
