Peter was born in Albany son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth ( Cappasso ) Maxwell the youngest of 5 children.
Peter proudly served on the USS Jack SSN605 sub from 1983-1987. Peter loved sharing stories of his time on the sub with friends and strangers. In his spare time he opened and managed the Schodack Indoor Flea Market. Peter was a die hard Cowboys fan and was a devoted and loving husband, best friend, father and will be dearly missed.
He was a Truck Driver for YRC for many years and a past member of the Teamsters Local 294.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by sister Claudia Brown and bother Alfred Maxwell
Survivors include spouse Suzanne Tibbetts Maxwell son, Peter W. (Karen) Maxwell, Jr. two brothers, Mark Maxwell, Michael Maxwell, 3 step children Wray, Richard, and Taylor Tibbetts. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren and his furbabies
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of life October 9, 2022 from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm at the East Greenbush Fire House 68 Phillips Rd. East Greenbush

I met Peter at the indoor flea market in Schodack. I rented space from him and Sue. In a short time he made me feel like family. He and Sue took an interest in my personal life as I did theirs. He was a great husband, father and friend. He always kept a great demeanor and truly cared for all around him. Gone too soon from this earth but will always be with Sue and his family each day from a place where he can do so much more than here. RIP my brother, keep doing great things from where you are now. My love to Sue and all the Maxwell family. From Carmelle and Shay also.
