PETER L. MITSAKOS

1940 - 2023

MITSAKOS, Peter L. Of Weston MA, 82, died on November 6, surrounded by the love of his family. Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he leaves behind his wife, Matilda Dana Mitsakos; his children: Ann Mitsakos Bezzerides and her husband Dr Vassilios Bezzerides of Brookline MA, William Peter Mitsakos and his wife Jenifer Lin Mitsakos of Whitefish, MT, and his daughter, Christina Mitsakos Kieffer and her husband Isaac Kieffer of Annandale, VA; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Peter, and Elias Bezzerides, Luke and Lydia Kieffer, and Linden and Spiro Mitsakos. The youngest of five born to Greek immigrants in Lowell, MA, on December 13, 1940, he was the son of the late Leonidas and Vasiliki (Sampatakakis) Mitsakos. He is survived by his brother, Dr. Charles L. Mitsakos and his wife Stella Mitsakos of Chelmsford. He was also the brother of the late Anthony Mitsakos, Mary Jesser, and Stella Simopoulos. Peter graduated from Lowell High School, Lowell Technological Institute (now UMass Lowell), served in the U.S. Air Force, and received his MBA from Ohio State University. Before retiring, he was a Financial Advisor for Merrill Lynch for 42 years. Peter was a gentle and thoughtful soul, and an analyst through and through. He was a man of deep faith, and was invested in their church, St. Demetrios in Weston, teaching Sunday school and leading trips to Harvest for Hunger and St. Francis House. He was and will continue to be an example of integrity, great humor, thoughtful analysis, and true wisdom. May his memory be eternal! Visiting Hours at George F.
