Peter J Olkiewicz

Peter John Olkiewciz was born in 1945 in Jersey City, NJ. He was drafted by the US Army, served during the Vietnam War from 1963 to 1967, until he was honorably discharged. Peter married the love of his life, Jody, in 1973 and lived happily for 35 years until her passing in 2008. After he retired from finance, he pursued a part-time job as a school bus driver. Here, he would meet his second wife, Anna Jedrusiak. The two were dealing with grief and loss and connected over time. Peter loved Anna, her sons Jesse and Scott, his dog Smokie, and the whole Opiola family. Peter was very loved by the Jeds, the Ops, and all his friends. He will be missed terribly and loved forever.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 12pm to 4pm at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin.

Funeral services will take place on Monday, 10am at the funeral home with an entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery and Mausoleum, 340 Ridge Rd., North Arlington, NJ.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Peter's name to St Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or to a Veteran organization of your choice.
