Peter Kenneth Olsen, 65, husband of Michelle Morocco Olsen, died Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at home.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Harry Kenneth Olsen and Edith Smith Olsen. Raised in Charleston, SC, he was a 1977 graduate of Johns Island High School and attended the College of Charleston.
Mr. Olsen was a retired carpenter.
Surviving are three children, Jason Gleaton (Angie), Jordan Olsen and Paige Olsen; eight grandchildren, Allie, Logan, Kaitlyn, Brayden, Carly, Tyson, Abby and Devin; one great-grandchild, Legacie; one sister, Sandra Ellen Olsen; two brothers-in-law, Guy B. Morocco and James William "Billy" Hughes; one sister-in-law, Suzanne B. Moss; numerous nieces and nephews; and a loyal fur baby, Lola.
Mr. Olsen was a loving husband, father, Papa and an avid Gamecock fan.
The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. to 6 P.M. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and in honor of Mr. Olsen, please feel free to wear your Gamecock attire.
Services will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be sent to Wedgefield Home for Kids, 6220 Wedgefield Road, Wedgefield, SC 29168.

Peter was a shy guy, but he would alwas laugh and smile. Our goup that hung around in school would all way's had fun. Peter was a great guy.
