Easthampton, MA — Peter A. Payne, Jr of Easthampton passed away on June 29, 2021 at his home. Peter was born on April 8, 1968 in Northampton the son of Peter and Linda (Zywar) Payne, Sr. Peter was raised in Northampton attended local schools and graduated from Smith Vocational Agriculture High School Class of 1987. Peter worked for and with his father and later owned and operated Payne & Picard Counter Top Shop in Easthampton.

Peter became interested in scouting at an early age starting with Cub scouts and the Boy Scouts where he earned his Eagle Scout Award in 1982 in troop 114 at the age of 14. Peter enjoyed his trips to Maine especially York where he loved playing Skeet ball. A lover of New England Sports Teams the Boston Red Sox's and the Patriot's football team. Spending time with family and friends and always giving a helping hand when ever needed.

Peter is survived by his father Peter Payne and his wife Helen, his sister Suzanne Moquin (husband Rick), from Clinton, NY, niece Jessica Moquin and significant other (Sam Gerry) and great nephew Malachite Gerry of Troy, ME, nephew Mackenzie Moquin and Fiancé Mary Warfel of Clinton, NY, stepsister Theresa Salazar, niece Raelynn Appie of Inverness, FL, stepbrother Kenneth Blondin significant other(Claudine Dostal), nephew Branden Dostal of Florence, Peter leaves many aunts ,uncles and cousins. Peter is predeceased by his mother Linda (Zywar) Payne Howard. Peter has very special friends Danielle Powers of Northampton and Paul Miller of Southampton and Kevin and Josette Picard of Westhampton.

Memorial service will be Tuesday July 20, 2021 from 10am to 11 am. Service at 11 am in the Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park Street, Easthampton. Burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Florence.
