Enrique Vargas

Miss Jane Murray, my name is Enrique Vargas and I am writing from Chile because a couple of years ago, I found a USB flash drive with a lot of information about a man apparently named Peter Politzer, who according to documents on the flash drive, came to Chile to a seminar in 2008.
The flash drive has many documents and I think it would be very useful if the University (UNO) could recover the information on it.
I hope I can send you the flash drive.
I look forward to hearing from you.

I think some family member or owner would like to have the pendrive.

Dr. Peter Politzer was my favorite professor at the University of New Orleans while I was a student. He hired me and I worked with him and Jane who were both great people. I often think of him because he was so nice.
He can now rest in peace.
He will forever be in my thoughts.
Always, DeNiche Francis

Dear Jane. My condolences to you and your family. Words cannot express my sorrow. This is a great loss for us and for science,
The first time I met Prof. Peter Politzer in 2005 at a conference in New Orleans; and then several times at other conferences in Poland and Czech Republic. He was always kind and helpful to others and full of ideas and scientific advice. He will live on in my memories forever.

Dear Mrs. Jane Murray, you and your whole family are in my thoughts. You have my deepest condolences for the loss of someone so dear. I'm deeply sorry to learn of the passing of your dear husband and Colleague, Dr. Peter Politzer. I remember the first time I met Mr. Politzer in 2003 during my first year pursuing a Ph.D. in Santiago de Chile. Since then I had the privilege of attending to his talks when Dr. Politzer along with his charming and nice wife Dr. Jane Murray visited Chile during next years. Attached is a picture of your visit to Chile in 2006 if I remember well. Dr. Peter Politzer will always be remembered with great fondness and admiration. Greetings from Chile.

We have never met, dear Jane, from face to face, but still we do have a connection since more than forty years, as it was Edel and Bob, and later on Barbara, who build the bridge between us over the ocean in the late seventies. Jane and Peter, Peter and Jane was for me the constant connection, while listening to the while raporting Ladies from Germany about the family in the United States from the lovely house in Wiesbaden. I am sure dear Jane, that you will gain all the power of Peters thoughts and mindpower, as he will accompany you from now on in a constant and gentle way.
Thinking about you all our sympathy goes out to you on the loss of Peter...
With warm greetings - Toni and Angelika

I first met Peter a half century ago at a scientific meeting and we became close friends. Peter was a brilliant scientist, with a profound understanding of theoretical chemistry, but also a dear friend and wonderful colleague with a deep kindness and a very special sense of humor. He will be very greatly missed by all who knew him.

I met Peter 37 years ago when I was dating my husband. He and Peter had already been good friends for quite some time. Peter was one of the funniest, kindness and most intelligent men I have ever met. We would take him to the finest seafood in town, Jays in Dayton Ohio. And he would order a hamburger without the bun.
We were truly heartbroken to hear of his passing. With Peter, there will always be interesting and entertaining memories to recall. Paul´s and my hearts are with his life partner Jane. Peter could have never found a mate more perfect for him than Jane!
We will miss him forever!

Thanks Peter for your scintillating wit. I first appreciated it in full during a party at my home, in Italy. After a day of challenging scientific discussion, good wine and ham paved discussions which went on for years.
The flowers of the picture celebrated you with their scent few hours after you left us.
