Peter Nicholas Porrazzo, age 87, of Massillon, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at The Laurels of Massillon.
Born on October 22, 1937, in Canton, Ohio, Peter was the son of the late Nicholas and Antoinette (Nerone) Porrazzo. He was a proud 1956 graduate of Lincoln High School and served honorably in The Ohio National Guard.
Peter was well known in the community through his partnership with his mother, Antoinette, and brother, Chic, in the beloved family-owned ChaRazzo’s Restaurant. Later, he continued his career with the Stark County Engineer’s Office, where he took pride in serving the county. A devoted family man, Peter cherished time with his grandchildren and found joy in simple pleasures—boating, fishing, golfing, and his dog, Vinny.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Michelle E. (Moran) Porrazzo; his daughter, Danielle (Barry) McCoy; and his treasured grandchildren, Hayden Nicholas McCoy and Ella Michelle McCoy. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Peter was preceded in death by his brothers: Charles “Chic” Porrazzo, Richard Porrazzo, and Donald Porrazzo.
A Celebration of Life Open House will be held on July 31, 2025, from 4:00pm - 7:00pm, at the Lake Cable Clubhouse, 5725 Fulton Dr. NW, Canton, OH 44718.
