A Lifelong Resident of Linden
Peter S. Rauba passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
Peter was born in Elizabeth, N.J., on June 18, 1940 to the late Stephen Rauba and the late Jennie (Pribush) Rauba.
He was a graduate of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Grammar School, Linden, and from Linden High School.
He had been a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.
Peter retired after thirty years of service from the Bayway Refinery, Linden, where he worked in Operations as a Console Supervisor.
He enjoyed travelling, which he did extensively, both domestically and internationally, with his longtime companion, Barbara Summa, who passed away in 2022.
He is survived by his sister, Jeanette Rauba, and Barbara's three children, Cynthia Summa Romesburg, Michael Summa and David Summa, as well as several cousins.
Peter will be dearly missed by family and friends.
A wake will be held in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street, Linden, on Saturday, June 29th, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Cremation will be private.
