Peter C. Reilly passed away March 5th, 2023 at home with his beloved family by his side. He was 83 years old.
He married the love of his life in 1970 and became step-father to William G. Renella, April Renella (Lazier) and Amber Renella (Glasgow.) Together, they welcomed their children Brian P. Reilly and Blaise M. Reilly.
Peter C. Reilly was born December 30th, 1939 to Francis L Reilly and Alma Buck Reilly in Jersey City New Jersey. He grew up in Paramus New Jersey.
To support his family, he worked in construction and restaurant management. He retired in 2005 from Wakefern Food Corporation. He belonged to Teamsters Local 445.
He is survived by his loving wife Betty Jane Reilly at home, son Brian P. Reilly and husband Robert Suss-Kolyer of Saugerties, NY, son Blaise M Reilly of Middletown, NY, stepson William G. Renella of Goshen, stepdaughter April Lazier and husband Peter Lazier, Jr. of Matamoras, PA and step-daughter Amber Glasgow of Middletown NY. He is survived by his brother Francis Buck Reilly of Edgewater NJ and niece Martha Sharkey Morgon of Medford MA and nephew Robert W. Sharkey of Charlestown, Rhode Island. He was predeceased by his parents, sister Judith Sharkey and niece Susan Sharkey.
Peter was proud grandfather to Broderick J. Reilly, Stella Reilly, Andrea Martini, Jonathan Martini, Jesse Lucido, William G Renella, Jr, Angela and Alyssa Glasgow and great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may call March 9, 2023 between 11AM-1PM at Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home 130 Highland Avenue. Middletown, NY 10940.
Burial and internment at Wallkill Cemetery will immediately follow.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Peter C. Reilly memory to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc.
