Peter W. Ruggieri Jr.

Peter W. Ruggieri, Jr., 91, passed away November 14, 2025.
Pete was born in Norfolk, Virginia and formerly of Bound Brook before moving to Ocean Grove. He earned his Master's Degree at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Peter was employed as a technical sales support associate at National Starch for over 15 years, retiring in 1998. Pete enjoyed playing tennis, golf, chess, singing in the choir, and taking family trips. Pete was very involved in his church, including choir, Methodist Men, helping organize many events and meals, Bible Studies, and participated on many boards to help determine finance, ministry, and stewardship. He was a member of the Bound Brook Town Council, Bound Brook Board of Education, Bound Brook Band Parent, Jaycees, and was a scout leader. He and his wife also worked at the voting polls in Bound Brook for many years. More importantly, Pete was a devoted and loving son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all of knew him.
He is predeceased by his brother Robert C. Ruggieri, killed in WWII.
Surviving are his wife Ann, sons John, James, and Joseph and five granddaughters.
Funeral services will be 12pm Wednesday beginning with a visitation at 10am at Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville. Burial will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery in Bound Brook.
