Peter Lavern Skelley of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away April 1st, 2023, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, at Cheyenne Regional Medical center. He was born in Monticello, Iowa, on October 14, 1942, at the home of his parents, Howard and Marie Skelley (Ehrisman). Growing up in Monticello, he helped out at the Skelley’s Market then attended the University of Dubuque for 2 years. At the university, he met Lorna Uhde who later became his wife. They wed on December 28th, 1967 in Colorado Spring, CO, and shared 37 happy years together.

Pete and Jean enjoyed a few trips and time with family and friends and continued to serve at the church, meals on wheels, and the Gideons as long as they were able. They would have been married 17 years on April 8,2023.
