Peter Towle Obituary

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Duronda "Bootsie", son Matthew and wife Jennifer, grandchildren Camryn and Riley, sister Patricia Ambroso, brother Gerald Towle and many nieces and nephews.
He was born and raised in Fond du lac, Wisconsin. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served proudly in the 101st Airborne and later in the Army National Guard of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
A kind, playful character of simple pleasures, he cherished most of all being a father and grandfather. A real car guy, all Fords and an occasional Studebaker, he had a passion for building cars and enjoyed drag racing the car he built.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Lygia Towle and sister
Joan Gratton, all of Fond du lac.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
12975 Purcell Rd, Manassas, VA 20112 on Monday May 20 at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, Virginia 22172

Pete was my best friend in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. We flew model airplanes, caught crawdads in the river, worked on his 49 Ford, had paper routes and went to school at St. Josephs. I moved to California. We never kept in touch.

My first memory of Pete is when I went to Pete and Duronda's house for the first time when I started working with her and I saw Pete on a red riding lawn mower driving down the street. I thought-did I see what I thought I saw?
