Peter Z Usalis, known fondly as Peter to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 28th, 2024, after a life rich with love, laughter, and dedication. Born on May 4th, 1965, in Boston, MA, Peter's life was marked by his loving nature, friendly demeanor, and gentle spirit.
Peter was a family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond and countless cherished memories. He was a guiding light to his sons, P.J. and Timothy, and a loving father-in-law to Nadia. His role as a grandfather to Giorgia and Josie was one he embraced with the gentleness and love that only a grandfather could provide.
Peter leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love. His parents, Dagnija and Zigmuntas, and sisters, Karla and Inga, will miss his larger-than-life personality and his uncanny ability to lighten any mood.
Surrounded by the love of the McGowan family, extended relatives, and friends, Peter nurtured lasting connections, crafting a rich tapestry of cherished memories and shared moments that will eternally reside in our hearts.
An alumnus of Northeastern University and Xaverian Brothers High School, Peter's intellect and diligence propelled him through a successful career, culminating in his role as a Senior Project Manager at Axiomtek. His professional achievements were matched by his commitment to his community, as he served with pride as President of the Polish Lithuanian American Citizen's Club, where he made lasting contributions and forged enduring friendships.
Peter's passion for life extended to his love of Boston sports, a devoted fan through thick and thin. Whether it was hockey, lacrosse, or baseball, he coached and cheered on his sons with an unwavering spirit. Beyond the stadiums, Peter found solace and joy in the great outdoors, often boating, fishing, and hunting, embracing the serene beauty of nature.
Those who knew Peter would describe him as loving, friendly, and gentle. His presence was a comfort, his laughter a melody, and his advice a treasure. He nurtured his relationships with the same care and attention that he gave to every aspect of his life.
As we bid farewell to Peter Z Usalis, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and passion. He has left an indelible mark on this world, and though he will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. We take comfort in knowing that the love he gave will echo through generations, a testament to a life well-lived.

Dear Nancy and entire Usalis family. I would like to extend my deepest condolences over the loss of Peter. He was a friend and former Xaverian classmate, and I remember Peter very fondly. We had several classes together at 800 Clapboardtree Street and, as I recall, he did much better than I - admittedly a low bar. He and I were also in a few of Brother Cook´s musicals where I remember him dancing ... and (again) better than I - an even lower bar. Peter will indeed be missed. Wishing you all much peace during this difficult time. Warm regards, Will.

Nancy, PJ, Tim and Family:
We were so sorry to hear of the passing of Peter. We have many wonderful memories of you all in youth hockey sitting on the sidelines watching the boys play. Peter was always so friendly, great sense of humor and always a smile.....our deepest sympathies on the loss of a great guy.

To Pete's families, I also worked, played and had many good experiences with Pete. He always offered help and was an easy person to get along with. Always enjoyed seeing him at Matthew's or the Garden for hockey. Take care of yourselves and may Pete rest in peace. John Coop O'Connell

Peter and I worked together for years. During that time we were good friends and had some great times. Annual Christmas Sleigh ride, canoe trips, beanpot, Red Sox games to name a few. Peter was a generous and all around great guy. RIP my friend save me a seat at the table. Mike Lentini
