Born on November 6, 1953, in Providence, RI to George and Julia (DiStefano) Votolato, Peter was a proud Central High School and Providence College alum. He was a resident of Warwick for over 30 years and an involved member of St. Rose & Clement Parish, serving on its finance council for over a decade. Peter held a 40-year long career in finance at several regional banks, retiring in 2016 as Vice President of Reporting in Regulatory Policy at Citizens Bank.
Peter was an avid sports fan, coaching his children's teams for many years and routing on the Providence College Men's Basketball team in many a March Madness tournament.
Peter was the cherished father to Brian (and Taylor) Votolato of Warwick, and Kayla Votolato (and Stephen Silva) of Cranston. He is survived by his 4 grandchildren (Tyler, Conor, Theo and Brooke), sister Patricia (and Robert) Lisi, former wife Anne (Horiagon) Manchester, and many beloved nieces, nephews, friends and coworkers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 5:00-7:00PM at THE URQUHART-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Peter will be celebrated on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 9:00AM at St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick. Interment will follow at St. Ann Cemetery at 73 Church Street, Cranston.

Peter Votolato such a gentleman. So many memories travelling to Boston daily for work. I am happy to have called him, my friend, and one of the most gentle person I have ever met RIP Peter.

I worked with Peter at Hospital Trust-and Bank Boston in Finance. He was a great guy and a caring person. I am so sorry for his family. My prayers will be with you.
