Peter J. Witt, a beloved figure in his community and dedicated family man, peacefully passed away on October 30, 2024 in Hillsboro, Ohio. Born on April 2, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Peter was a proud graduate of Holy Family School, Elder High School, and Western Hills High School. He lived a life of purpose and devotion, most notably as the owner of Pete Witt Painting, a business he skillfully managed for over 27 years.

Peter was known for his warm personality and deep affection for his family, particularly his grandchildren. He cherished time spent with them, often making memories that they will hold dear. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jackie Witt, and their children: Justin (Kathy) Witt, Heather (Eddie Powers) Witt, and Melissa (Mark Spille) Witt. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Reece, Trey, Maria, Kai, and Crew, whose lives he enriched with his love and guidance. Additionally, he is remembered as a son-in-law to Mary Busse.

Peter's interests included fishing, attending Elder High School football games, and enjoying vacations in Florida, where he found joy in the sun and surf. His life was marked by both professional success and a profound commitment to family, values that endeared him to many.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Witt; his mother, Josephine Kuntz; his brother, Michael Witt; and his aunt, Catherine Downard. Each of these individuals played a significant role in shaping Peter's life, and their memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Visitation will be held on November 8, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, located at 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM, celebrating the life of Peter J. Witt—a man who found warmth in family and purpose in his work. He will be deeply missed but cherished in the memories of all he touched.

Memorials may be made in Peter's name to the Mike Witt Memorial Scholarship Fund @ Elder High School, 3800 Vincent, Cincinnati, Oh 45205 or SPCA of Cincinnati.
