Philip Houston Bonds passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was a beloved father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Philip was preceded in death by his beloved wife Shelby Jean Bonds, his son, Philip Robin Bonds, his grandchildren, Philip Shannon, Keisha Shea Monroe, and Brook Bonds. Also his great grandson Jack Bentley.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Johnny (Sandy) Bonds, David Bonds, and Russell (Dana) Bonds. His grandchildren, Tiffany Bonds, Matthew Bonds, Evan Bonds, Payton Bonds, Amanda Bonds, Miranda Bonds, Jessie Cameron, Kristen Bonds and, Kelsea Bonds. Also left are his 15 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Philip was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He retired from Union Foundry in Anniston, AL after a career spanning 34 years. He and Shelby also farmed poultry for a time on a farm they owned in Iron City, Alabama. Philip and Shelby's marriage lasted 55 wonderful years. He was a religious man who loved attending church and he loved the Lord. He loved his family with a passion. He was a hard worker and loved to work.
