Philip Diaz Obituary

Phil was born and raised in the Olney section of Philadelphia. He was a parishioner of Incarnation Church, and a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School; class of 1982. Phil worked as a Journeyman for Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 for over 30 years. Phil enjoyed playing drums and collecting HO Trains.
Family and friends are invited to Phil's Life Celebration on Friday, July 5th from 6 – 8 PM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154, and on Saturday, July 6th from 9 – 10 AM at Maternity BVM Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19115. A funeral mass will follow at 10 AM. Interment services will be held privately.

Rest in peace my union brother. You will be missed by all that knew you. Prayers for the Diaz family . I knew Phil for along time . Easy going and a hard worker.

Phil was a good friend and a gentle soul. He was intelligent, thoughtful and funny. He was a regular at our coffee briefings and he will be sorely missed.
