Funeral services for Philip William Frank, 90, will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Dr., Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery, 3700 St. Vincent Ave. in Shreveport. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Rose-Neath Southside. Deacon Jeff Chapman will officiate the service.
Phil was born on April 5, 1934, in Houston, Texas to Philip H. Frank and Betty Mabry Frank and passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024, in Monument, Colorado.
Phil was a resident of Shreveport most of his life. He received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration before marrying the love of his life, Mary Sorrell. He retired from the Army Reserves as a Lieutenant Colonel and then went on to work as a Buyer for AT&T. He was a loving husband and father that enjoyed spending time with his family, square dancing, history, and reading.
Phil is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Betty Frank; wife, Mary S. Frank; and sister, Carolyn Rogers. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Randy Shoemaker and wife, Jennifer; Robert Shoemaker and wife, Susan; Philip Frank and wife, Angie; daughter, Peyton Frank; sisters, Mary Rodgers, and Linda Liebe; and sister-in-law, Margie Sorrell.
Honoring Phil as pallbearers will be Robert Shoemaker, Randy Shoemaker, James Jefferson, James Jefferson, Jr., Deacon Jeff Chapman, and Mike Burton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to St. Pius Catholic Church in Shreveport.
