Philip D. Goddard-age 79 of Benton, Tennessee passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025.Born on August 5th, 1946 in Knoxville, Tennessee. He volunteered for the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He will be remembered for the love he had for family and friends. Phil was preceded in death by his parents Leonard Clay Goddard and Adeane Rose King Goddard, his sister Peggy J. Higdon.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Laura A. Goddard. Siblings: Betty L. Goddard,

Jimmy L. Goddard (wife, Mary Ellen) and nieces and nephews.

The family will have a military service 2 P.M. Thursday, August 28, 2025 at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery located at 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Hwy,

Knoxville, Tennessee. A prayer will be led by the military chaplain, graveside honors by Tri-County Veterans honor Guard. Please meet at the cemetery by 1:45 p.m. Thursday. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee. Phil will be missed dearly by family and friends. Arrangements by Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, Maynardville.
