Philip Joseph Lippolis, Sr.

Philip Joseph Lippolis Sr., age 71, passed away on Thursday, June 02, 2022, at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Norwood, Massachusetts on July 9, 1950, he was the son of the late Philip Condito and Denilia Mary (Guisti) Lippolis. He was raised in Walpole, where he graduated from Walpole High School with the Class of 1970. Following his graduation, Phil enlisted in the United States Navy, proudly serving his country. He served as a heavy equipment operator with the Seabees and was stationed in various installations, including Kodiak, Alaska, Port Hueneme, California, and Diego Garcia an island of the British Indian Ocean Territory. Following his honorable discharge in December of 1972, Phil returned home to Walpole and began working alongside his father at his construction company.

After learning how to operate equipment in the Navy, Phil took a position as an operator at a Scrap Yard in Falmouth and Delmar Scrap Yard in Walpole. He went on to bring his skill set to Industrial Support, where he spent many years as a crane operator. In 1983 while working at CFK, Phil's ability to serve as a jack of all trades were noticed by his friend Jim Dunlop, who recommended him for many companies over the years. Phil and Jim worked together for the rest of his career where he worked or subcontracted with printing companies such as, Congraph, Charles River Litho, Universal Graphics, and Universal Wilde. While working at the printing company Phil helped with all phases, from pouring cement pads, building offices, installing presses, to servicing and maintaining equipment on site.

In Phil's younger years he loved breaking in and riding wild horses, riding snowmobiles, three wheelers and dirt bikes. He essentially loved tinkering or toying with anything that had horsepower. For many years he could be found hanging out at Monty's garage in Walpole with his friend Dino Fiorio. His love for riding quickly transitioned to steel horses, throwing his leg over his Harley for an adventure on the open road. In 2020, Phil and his friend Carl Gardner packed up his fifth wheel camping trailer to head out west, completing one of his lifelong goals of visiting Sturgis, South Dakota. This past winter he and his wife Debbie were also able to take a much needed month long trip with the trailer down South to visit family and friends in Florida.

Phil was the guy you could always count on. Once you entered Phil's close circle, you became family. If you told him you needed something he would jump in his truck and be there anytime day or night. Whether it be helping the kids with broken down vehicles, remodeling homes, clearing land, fixing furnaces or leaky plumbing. You could always rely on the fact that Phil would be there to help you out as he could "do it all" or in those rare case he didn't, he knew who to call.

Most of all, Phil was dedicated to his family. He was a loving father to his two children, Phil, Jr. and Vickie, ensuring they always had everything they needed. Phil was delighted to add to his family after marrying Debra on November 30, 2002, welcoming her two children to his table. The true light of Phil's life were his grandchildren, treasuring each moment he spent with them.

Beloved husband of Debra A. (Clenott) Lippolis.
