Philip James Nerti, 70, of Oakdale passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 13, 2024 at his residence.
Born June 18, 1954 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Phillip A. Nerti and Anna Mae Frickanish Nerti of North Beaver Township.
Philip graduated from Duquesne with a bachelor’s in science and then from the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business where he earned his MBA. He was an active member of the Archangel Gabriel Parish in McKees Rocks. Philip held numerous positions throughout his life as a pharmacist and then he moved into administration, as the Vice President of Provider PPI LLC, Director of H.C. Pharmacy Central, Vice President of the Highmark Pharmacy, Vice President at Protoco Partners Pharmacy Services and served as a preceptor for Pharmacy Programs at Duquesne University. Philip was an avid golfer and a Pittsburgh sports enthusiast.
Survivors include his mother, Anna Mae; brother, David (Cheryl) Nerti of Chewton; two nieces, Nicole (Justin) Scott and Angela (Alex) Elbanna and their families.
Friends will be received on Thursday October 17, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main Street Wampum.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Vitus Catholic Church on October 18, 2024 at 10:30 am with Father Aaron Kriss officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in New Castle.
