Philip Patton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wm. Nicholas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC on Feb. 7, 2026.
Philip G. Patton, 82, of North Jackson, passed away Wednesday afternoon, December 3rd at St.Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown.
He was born on May 28, 1943 in Youngstown, the son of Philip G., Sr. and Beverly (McLaughlin) Patton.
Philip was a 1961 graduate of Canfield High School where he excelled in football and track and worked as a computer systems programmer, for a time for General Fireproofing, and most recently for First National Bank, prior to retiring in 2013. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
He married the former Judy A. Blazek on July 30, 1966. Together they shared 59 years of marriage and many happy memories. She survives him.
Philip was an avid golfer and had a dedicated group of good friends who he played with regularly at Lakeside Golf Course. He was also a longtime Cleveland sports fan, especially faithful to the Browns, and he liked to remind people that even though they've never won a Super Bowl, they did win six NFL Championships in years prior. Philip was a kind, fun loving husband, brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend to many. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his wife, Philip is survived by a sister, Madeline Capel, of Canfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In accordance with his wishes there will be no funeral services or calling hours.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, 2759 N. Lipkey Rd., North Jackson, OH 44451, in Philip's memory.
Arrangements for Mr. Patton are being provided by the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Philip, please visit our Tree Store.

February 8, 2026

Madeline...this is Marialice (Hubler) Mauch, an old Canfield girl. My brother was Frankie Hubler and my parents were Frank and Laura. We go back a lot of years. I just happened to pick up on Phil´s obituary and wanted to pass along my condolences.
