Philip Edwin Pausch, 71, of Boston Heights, passed away December 8, 2023 after a long battle with Parkinsonism. Philip was born August 25, 1952 in Cleveland to Anna Theodora (nee Eich) and Otto Kurt Pausch. He was the fifth of 5 sons. Philip graduated from Bedford High School in the class of 1970, and followed with a career in automotive mechanics and restorations. Philip owned body shops throughout his lifetime pursuing perfection in his craft. He helped many a car enthusiasts with their projects, from minor repairs to full frame-off restorations. Philip was an artist with his hands and paint gun. He had a penchant for all things automotive, and had a particularly keen knowledge and skill for restoring Chevrolet Corvettes and a variety of Oldsmobile models. Phil’s Shop was always a gathering place for friends and family, where camaraderie was always present during work or play. Philip was recently preceded in death by his loving wife, Deborah (nee Olesky). He was a preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronald and Theodore Pausch. Philip is survived by two brothers, Robert and Walter Pausch, his daughters Shonna Shamblin and Jeanette Pausch, and his stepson Stephen Cuglewski. Philip will be immensely missed by his family and friends including all of his car buddies. A private celebration of his life will be held on January 27, 2024.
