Philip J. Randazzo, age 80, of Middleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 15, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Frances A. (Marcotte) Randazzo, with whom he shared nearly 55 years of marriage. Born and raised in Lynn, he was the son of the late William and Helen (Niebrzydowski) Randazzo and step-son of the late Henrietta Randazzo. Philip was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Lynn as well as Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Philip worked as a civil engineer for the Town of Saugus until his retirement in 2007. He was a member of the William Sutton Masonic Lodge and enjoyed fly fishing and crossword puzzles. His greatest joy came from time spent with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren, Mariah and Preston. He enjoyed dance competitions and hockey games and he was immensely proud of them.
In addition to his wife, Frances, he is survived by his two daughters; Stephanie Abbott and her husband David of Middleton, and Jill Randazzo of Arlington; his grandchildren, Mariah and Preston Abbott of Middleton, as well as his sister, Helen Alberghini and her husband Louis of Berlin, MA.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at Oosterman's Rest Home and All Care Hospice for the compassionate care shown to Philip and the support for his family through this difficult time.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 11AM in the SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Wednesday, September 17, 2025, from 4-7PM.
