His love for Cape Cod brought him peace and serenity, where he has many cherished memories with his family Philips heart was fullest ones surrounded by loved ones. My dad was the best a kid could ask for, he always made time for me and my brother no matter what. He worked everyday and would come home and still play with us sometimes even finishing up a run chasing down our bus as it pulled down our street. He would then either take us to whatever season it was deciding the sport we would be going to practice for or to a game. He was always the coach and he was actually probably the best coach I have ever played for and that is not just me saying this because he is my dad but he would take any team in for somehow we always seem to win the championship, whether it was in baseball or basketball we were always winning. He just knew how to relate to each and every kid so they were having fun while learning at the same time. Occasionally after school and after he got home from work, we would drive down to Scarborough Beach and do some body surfing on the waves and maybe go catch some crabs on the rocks. We would never leave without going to Aunt Carrie's and getting some chowder. Growing up, every summer we spend a couple weeks down in Cape Cod in Dennis right by Mayflower Beach, we always brought a big inflatable raft with us where we would pump it up at the gas station and we would go snorkel diving and one of my dad's friends that would come down sometimes nicknamed us do US divers. Shout out to J. Long. There was a restaurant that we always went to that had a little arcade game room and me and my brothers favorite game was terminator. So when we got back home, we ended up making up a game, calling it terminator where big guy was the terminator. with a squirt gun in the summertime, he would shut down for 10 seconds, and we would have time to run and hide. In the winter time it was snowballs and sometimes it was Nerf guns. As we got older, he gave us a choice. It was dirt bikes, or Disney World, and we chose dirt bikes and ended up racing motocross all over New England. After I graduated high school, I went to college for a year, but then I ended up working with my dad and he taught me everything I needed to know to succeed what I am doing these days, I even named my company after the name of his, 3 Star Builders. Now when I am working, even if I'm only working with one other person, it will still be 3 Star Builders because I know he will be there watching over me. I know I've told you personally, but you are, were, the best dad, any son could have asked for, and I am going to miss you every second of every day for the rest of my life. I love you dad, more than you know.
