Philip John Windorski, 93 of Schofield passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2024, with polka music playing on the radio. He was born to the late John and Susan (Bednarski) Windorski on August 25, 1931.
He is survived by his son, David (Toni) Windorski, daughter Sandy Windorski, grandchildren Jeff (Carrie) Ostroski, Jr, Sunny Windorski, Beatrice Windorski and three great grandchildren Casey, Brendan, Eric, sister Sadie Gruna, sister-in-law Rose Windorski, and many nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his wife Florence Windorski, son Steven Windorski, Daughter Sharon Ostroski, siblings Emma, Wanda, Florence, Dorothy, Hubert, Clarence, Ray, David, Ted, Ben and Daniel.
Philip joined the military and served in the Marines during the Korean War Conflict. He was a proud family man, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He loved going to church, carpentry, fishing, fixing up things around the house, and making firewood.
Services will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church on Friday, October 25, 2024, with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. with rosary at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow with military honors at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
