Phillip Bridges Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by House-Rawlings Funeral Home - London on Dec. 11, 2025.
Phillip Elvin Bridges, age 79, of London, Kentucky passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Marylee Stidham Bridges; one son, David Bridges & wife Katie; one sister, Judy Baker & husband Joe; three grandchildren, Madi, Jeremy, Samantha; one great grandson, Declan; his nephews, James & Will; his niece, Kelli Jo; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin & Naomi Bridges.

Phillip was a devoted family man and proud veteran. He was a retired United States Postal Service employee, having faithfully served his community for 36 years. Prior to his career with the Postal Service, Phillip honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and was a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). He was also an active member of the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) for 20 years.

Phillip found joy in the simple, peaceful moments of life. One of his greatest pleasures was spending time on the front porch, gently swinging with his beloved dogs, Pumpkin and Rocko, by his side. His family meant everything to him, and he especially cherished watching his granddaughter, Madi, dance - a highlight that never failed to fill him with pride.

Phillip was a man of faith and attended Living Hope Church, where he found fellowship and spiritual strength.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his steady presence, and the love he freely shared with those around him. His legacy lives on in the family he adored and in the countless lives he touched along the way.

A memorial service for Phillip Elvin Bridges will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Living Hope Church, 550 Old Hare Rd., East Bernstadt, Kentucky. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
