Phillip Dean Burleson, age 62, of Golf Drive in Spruce Pine, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2025 at his home.
Born on July 11, 1962 in Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Wanda Cook Burleson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a niece, Holly Burleson.
Phillip was retired from the water treatment plant with the town of Spruce Pine following over thirty years of service. He loved spending time with his grandsons. He enjoyed reading, including the topics of military related books, horror stories and SciFi. He also enjoyed being outdoors and fishing.
Left to cherish his memories are his son; Matthew Burleson and wife, Sarah of Weaverville, his grandsons; Calvin and Colston Burleson, his step brother; Bryan Burleson and his sister; Sherry Lynn Burleson.
A memorial service will be planned and announced for a later date.
