Phillip "Phil" T. Easterling, born on August 15, 1965, in Jackson, Mississippi, peacefully passed away on June 9, 2025, in Pelahatchie, Mississippi. Phil was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His warm spirit and loving nature will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Phil was known for his passion for the outdoors. He found great joy in fishing and hunting, always eager to explore nature and relish the serenity it offered. His love for working was equally matched by his enjoyment of life's simple pleasures, making him a beloved figure in his community.
He is remembered dearly by his mother, Norma Brewer; daughter, Jessie A. Easterling; sister, Naomi Brewer; and brothers, Rocky Easterling, along with his wife, Gwen, and Mitch Easterling, along with his wife, Brenda. Phil's heart was especially filled with love for his granddaughter, Skylar Easterling, who brought immense joy to his life, nieces he raised as his daughters, Beth Lewis and Whiteny Ragan.
Phil is preceded in death by his father, Wife, Patra Easterling, Buddy Easterling, whose memory lives on in the hearts of his family.
A visitation in honor of Phil will be held on June 14, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes in Morton, Mississippi. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location starting at 2:00 PM. Phil will be laid to rest in a burial service at Parkway Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:00 PM, where family and friends will gather to pay their final respects.
The legacy left behind by Phil will always remind us of the importance of family, love, and the beauty of nature. He will remain in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
