Phillip Lancaster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by H.S. Smith Funeral Home - Caruthersville from Feb. 7 to Feb. 8, 2023.
Phillip (Phil) Ray Lancaster was born January 5, 1973, in West Memphis, Arkansas. He departed this life on January 24, 2023, at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Missouri. He was 50 years old.

Phil is survived by his mother, Donna Goss (Bryan) of Southaven, MS, his father, Herschel Lancaster of Caruthersville, MO, his twin brother and best friend, Chris Lancaster of Caruthersville, MO, his brother, Brad Lancaster of Southaven, MS, his sister, Sarah Linton (Jake) of Southaven, MS, and his sister, Elizabeth Lancaster of Caruthersville, MO, a legacy of children and grandchildren as well. All of whom he loved dearly. Phillip R. Lancaster, Jr. (Kortni) and their 3 children, Chase Lancaster (Brianna) and their 5 children and Peyton Lancaster (Miranda) and their 2 children, all of Caruthersville, MO, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Phil lived a life that was never a boring one. His journey was not a perfect one nor the easiest, but he gave it his best. Over the past couple of years, he became heavily involved with the organization Breakthrough Recovery and a member of Jesus Name Tabernacle Church. He thrived working in the service of others especially with the non – profit, Help On Hand Inc. There he was a part of something bigger than himself and bigger than the fellowship that became like family to him. A special thank you to Carlton Sherrill and his wife for involving him so much and becoming very dear friends to him and his family.

H.S. Smith Funeral Home has charge of the celebration of life services that will be held at Jesus Name Tabernacle Church, his home church in Caruthersville, Missouri, on Sunday, February 12th, 2023, at 3:00 pm. The visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 pm until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, you can make contributions via PayPal @ paypal.me/helponhandinc or Venmo @helponhandinc or in person during the visitation and/or service. All contributions will be going towards the Lancaster Foundation (Help On Hands Inc).
