He was born May 29, 1985, in Little Rock to Billy Wayne Monk, Sr., and Terri Denise Fults Monk.
He graduated from Sheridan High School and enjoyed playing basketball.
Phillip had worked for Reynolds Construction before becoming disabled.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Wayne Monk, Jr.
Survivors include a son, Phillip Wayne Monk, Jr. whom he loved very much; his parents, Billy Wayne Monk, Sr., and Terri Denise Fults Monk of England; a brother, Robert Elige Monk of Pine Bluff and several nieces and nephews and friends.
