Phillip Ray Stotts, 69, of McLoud, went to join his heavenly family on January 20, 2023. Phillip was born July 5, 1953, to Jesse and Phyllis (Bingham) Stotts. He graduated from US Grant High School of Oklahoma City, in 1972. After graduation, he completed of a year in college at Northwestern State. Phillip, then, moved to Hennessey and started a life of farming. He also worked fulltime at Failings Machine Shop of Enid. He worked there almost 10 years before being laid off. He then delivered propane before turning to truck driving school. He did that for a few years, and it landed him in Bakersfield, CA, where he met Karen. Six months later, in October of 1985, the couple moved to Oklahoma City. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Judy Ann Potts, stepdaughter, Jacie Cook and grandson Alex Schemmer.
Survivors include his loving wife Karen Stotts of Shawnee, daughter Michelle and husband David Schemmer of Wakomis; son Matthew and wife Holly Stotts of Hennessey; brother John and wife Janice Stotts of McLoud; sisters Lee Ann and husband Rick Wooten of McLoud; sister Rhonda and husband Mike O'Neal of Newalla, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Phillip is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews.
A family memorial service is planned for a later date. Cremation has been affected. Arrangements are under the care of Asa Smith Funeral Service of Harrah. Online condolences may be made at www.asasmith.net
