Phyllis Campbell

Phyllis Campbell, 66, of Manchester, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 21.

Phyllis was born to the late Bige and Lucy Eversole. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James Campbell; her siblings Erslia Eversole, Beverly Paul Eversole, Geraldine Henson, Betty Ann Marion, Bonny Smith, Melvin Eversole, and Robert Eversole.

She leaves behind her siblings: Jeff Eversole and wife Alberta, Johnny Eversole and wife Doris, Margaret Eversole and her aunt Reva Marion as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory.

Phyllis has a joyful spirit and a love for shopping that brought her happiness throughout her life. She was especially devoted to caring for her mother, Lucy, faithfully serving her with patience, compassion, and unwavering love. She loved her family and loved taking care of them. Her servant's heart reflected the kindness and grace she carried with her.

Though our hearts grieve her absence, we find comfort in the promise of God's word. We trust that Phyllis has heard the words, "Well done good and faithful servant" and now rests peacefully in the presence of her Lord and Savior. As scripture reminds us in John 14:2-3, "In my Father's house are many mansions…I go to prepare a place for you."

We rejoice in knowing that this is not goodbye, but "until we meet again".

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Britton Funeral Home. Visitation will take place at 12 pm prior to the service, also at Britton Funeral Home. Phyllis will be laid to rest at the Smith Cemetery #2 on Chopbottom Rd. The service will be officiated by James Hodge.
