Phyllis Jean Crane, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, in Columbiaville, Michigan, at the age of 85. Born on December 31, 1939, in Saginaw, Michigan, Phyllis's life was devoted to her family, her church, and her many passions.

She carried the sense of community throughout her life, touching the lives of everyone she met. Her later years in Columbiaville were marked by the same generosity and love she was known for. She was a cherished attendee of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Otisville, where her faith was both a personal comfort and an inspiration to others.

She was a loving mother to Lisa (Scott) Helton and Matt Crane, and a doting grandmother to Isaiah, Scott Helton, and Drew Crane. Her family was her pride and joy, and she reveled in their accomplishments and milestones. Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald W. Crane, her son Mark R. Crane, and her brothers Walter and Albert Rachow. The legacy of her kind spirit and nurturing love lives on through her children and grandchildren.

An avid reader, Phyllis found great joy in the simple pleasure of a good book. Her love for reading extended to the Holy Bible, which was a source of constant strength and comfort to her. Phyllis was also an artist at heart, with a particular passion for all types of crafting. She especially enjoyed diamond art and painting, often sharing her creations with friends and family. Her artistic talent was a gift that she used to bring beauty into the world and joy into the lives of others.

Phyllis's zest for life was evident in her love for shopping and her eagerness to spend quality time with her family and friends. She was a fixture at her grandchildren's sporting events, cheering them on with enthusiasm and pride. Her presence in the stands was a testament to her unwavering support and love.

In her senior living community, Phyllis was much more than a resident; she was a friend, a confidante, and a source of joy. She made many friends and was actively involved in daily craft projects, sharing her skills and companionship with those around her.

Described by those who knew her as loving, faith-filled, and generous, Phyllis Jean Crane's memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her. Her life was a journey of giving, and her spirit will continue to guide and influence the lives of her loved ones. Phyllis's story is one of unwavering love, deep faith, and the enduring power of a life well-lived. Her light, though no longer present on this earth, will shine on in the hearts of those she touched.

Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville. Share memories, condolences, and pictures with the family at www.jansenfuneralhome.com.
