Phyllis Hughes Forbush, cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend peacefully transitioned in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 12, 1945, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, to Vena Louisa Johnson and Darr Lavon Hughes. Phyllis is survived by her children, Darr Lavon (son) and Arlee Tracy Forbush, Madelaine (daughter) and Randy Hill, Sabrina (daughter) and Daniel Chavez along with 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Family was what mattered most to her in this life. Phyllis found immense joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Those who knew her could attest to her immense pride and the endless stories she shared about the joy and laugher her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her. She is survived by 4 grandchildren: Breanna (Steven) Deshazer, Skyler (Katie) Hill, Kaisley and Aliyah Hill as well as 4 great-grandchildren: Ronan, Denali, Maeve and Granger. Her love for them knew no bounds. As a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she will be remembered for her steadfast faith and deep love for Jesus Christ.

In her leisure time, Phyllis could often be found engrossed in a good book, catching up on her favorite soap operas, crocheting, or engaging in various craft projects. She took great pleasure in creating handmade gifts for others and passing on her skills to her children and grandchildren.

Phyllis is preceded in death by her Parents, a brother, her son (Pete) and daughter (Katrina). A Viewing will be held at Peel Funeral Home: 8525 W. Magna Main St. Magna, UT 84044 on Wednesday, April 24th 6pm-8pm and Thursday, April 25 h 10:00am – 10:50am.

Funeral Services will be held at Peel Funeral Home: 8525 W. Magna Main St. Magna, UT 84044 on Thursday, April 25th at 11:00am, followed by burial at Valley View Memorial Park: 4335 W. 4100 S. West Valley City, UT.

Phyllis Hughes Forbush, cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend peacefully transitioned in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 12, 1945, in Mt.
