PHYLLIS GOODWIN
Phyllis Elaine Lee Goodwin, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, at Aiken Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 29, 1961, in Oconee County, South Carolina, to the late Dedrick Gene Lee and Lucille Mildred Jones Lee.
Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was the beloved wife of Dale Ray Goodwin, with whom she shared many cherished years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Jim Goodwin (Kayla); brothers, Robert Lee of Clinton, SC, and Wayne Lee of Walhalla, SC; sister, Sheila Galloway (Tommy); grandchildren, Brealyn and Sadie Goodwin; nephew, T.J. Galloway (Olivia); and niece, Hannah Galloway. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Phyllis retired after more than 30 years of dedicated service as a Nuclear Operator at the Savannah River Site, where she was known for her strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.
Above all else, Phyllis cherished spending time with her son and grandchildren, who were the greatest joy of her life. Her love, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
