Phyllis L. Krytusa, 83, of Indiana, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. She was born in Apollo, PA, on June 20, 1942, to the late Torrence and Lola (Simpson) Stanley.

Phyllis graduated from Robert Morris College with a degree in Business Administration. She started working at Syntron in Homer City, and then spent 17 years with the Marion Center High School Business Department. Later she was also employed by Life Energy Systems, and then for the Bowser Minich Funeral Home as a greeter. In 2010, Phyllis and her husband Walt moved to Washington State, where she became a licensed care giver, working as such until 2018. In 2019, Phyllis and Walt decided to move back to Indiana finally enjoying her retirement spending time with Walt and her family. She was known for being warm and caring, helping anyone who needed it. She also enjoyed travel, walks, and always her butterflies.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Walter "Walt" Krytusa, whom she married on June 29, 1963, son Randall (Carole) Krytusa of Liverpool, NY; daughter Judith (Ronald) Leczner of Magnolia, DE; brothers Ted (Wanda) Stanley of GA; and Harry (Linda) Stanley of CO; 5 Grandchildren, and 5 Great-Grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.

To respect her wishes, all services will be private and have been entrusted to the care of the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Burial will be held in St. Bernard Cemetery, Indiana, PA.
