Phyllis Elaine Maske, age 80, of Farina, Illinois passed away at 5:44 a.m. on June 19, 2024 at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Illinois with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Pastor Ryan Meyer will be officiating. Interment will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2024 at Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Peter. Memorials may go to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
Phyillis was born on December 22, 1943 in Marion County, Illinois, the daughter of Arthur and Minnie (Outhouse) Courson. She married Delmar Maske on August 28, 1966 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She was known for her love of Wednesday night bingo. She was a homemaker, that loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals, sewing, doing word searches, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Delmar Maske of Farina; daughter, Shelley Harpster of Farina; grandchildren, Hayley (Rocky) Lawson of Salem, Kayla (Shad) Hill of Brownstown, Tyler (Breanne) Harpster of Brownstown, and Alexis (Blake) Chastain of Salem; and 13 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary Jane Courson of Kinmundy, Doris Courson of St. Peter, and Brenda (John) Toms of Benton; brother-in-law, Galen (Joyce) Maske of St. Peter; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Minnie Courson; son, Scott Maske; brothers, Harley Courson, Richard Courson and Roger Courson.
