It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Phyllis A. Melaragno, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Born on February 13, 1941, in Daisytown, PA, Phyllis brought joy to those around her through her passion for cooking, crafts, and bingo. Her amazing culinary skills, talent in crafts like crochet and cross stitch, and love for a good game of bingo will always be remembered fondly by those who knew her.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children Tina (Robert) Gallagher, Maria (John) Putney, and Tony (Teresa) Melaragno, as well as her cherished grandchildren Brian Putney, John (Morgan) Putney Jr., Robert Putney, Cole Gallagher, and Benny Melaragno. Her great-grandchildren John III, Corinne, and Bryna brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by siblings Joseph Veri, Robert Veri, Anthony Veri, along with her dear nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 61 years, Antonio "Tony" Melaragno, as well as her brother James Veri, granddaughter Linda Putney, nephew Greg Veri, and sisters-in-law Darlene Veri and Olga Lombardi.
To honor Phyllis's life, the family will receive friends at the Monreal Srnick Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd in Eastlake on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 4 PM to 8 PM.
A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 10 AM. Following this, Phyllis will be laid to rest at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon.
As we come together to remember, honor, and celebrate the life of Phyllis Melaragno, let us hold onto the cherished memories and the spirit of love she shared with all those around her. Through laughter and tears, let us celebrate a life well-lived and a heart full of love.
