With profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother, Phyllis Moore (nee Drenser) on April 9th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a brave and long battle with cancer.
As a young mother, Phyllis was a stay-at-home mom who was active in her children's activities and often the organizer of events. She was always someone you went to for advice, love and comfort. Phyllis was best described as "self-less", something she has passed along to each of her daughters. Phyllis was an avid reader, enjoyed baking and spending time with her grandchildren. Phyllis was a bookkeeper for Papa Joe's and the Lakeshore Animal Hospital before retiring in 2021.
Phyllis was the loving wife of 62 years to Russell Moore; beloved mother of Michelle Brady, Rhonda (Bob) Zakrajsek, Anne Dole, and Annette Teusink; devoted grandmother of Katrinna (Jake) Lalonde, Felicia (Alex) Mahachek, Ashley (Tyler) Sabath, Katelyn Zakrajsek, Adam Zakrajsek, Hailey Teusink, and Hannah Teusink; great grandmother of Payton, Emmazin, and Theodore; dearest sister of Diane Adams and Hermina Seiden.
Her family will honor Phyllis' wishes with a private ceremony. We thank everyone for the past years of love and support. All the prayers, flowers, cards and letters have touched each and every one of us, especially our mother, Phyllis. She will be greatly missed.
Donations can be made in Phyllis' name to Happy Tails Home | Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary which was close to her heart.
Phyllis will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, strength and dedication to her family. She was always a listening ear, warm embrace and loving heart.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jeff Monreal Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Painesville.
