Phyllis Allenson Petter, known affectionately as Grandi, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2025, at the age of 81 in Greenville, SC. Born on June 27, 1943, in Providence, RI, Phyllis' journey through life was marked by an unwavering devotion to her family, a passion for creativity, and a generosity of spirit that touched everyone she knew.
She is survived by her beloved husband of many years, Gerald Petter, and her cherished children, Ernest Berube, Dori Flynn and her husband Brion, Michele Simpson, and Robin LaRue and her husband Peter. Phyllis was a proud grandmother to Daniel, Jeffrey, and his wife Olivia, Nathan, Alyssa, Benjamin, Jillian, and Aimee Grace, relishing every moment spent with them. Her joy was further multiplied by the arrival of her great-grandson, Ezra Flynn.
Phyllis enjoyed many hobbies. Amongst these were quilting, gardening and traveling. Her selflessness and creative spirit were the hallmarks of her very essence. With open arms and an open heart, she welcomed family and friends to countless family events, never missing an opportunity to support her children and grandchildren in their endeavors.
Words alone cannot capture the loving legacy of Phyllis Petter; her memory will forever be weaved into the hearts of those she loved. She will be dearly missed and remembered as a beacon of love and selflessness
