Phyllis Y. Proctor

Phyllis Y. Proctor, 94, of Souderton, PA, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, at the Peter Becker Community in Harleysville, PA.

She was the beloved wife of the Late Laverne "Wormy" Alderfer who preceded her in death in 1968 and also the loving wife of the late William B. Proctor who preceded her in death in August 2014.

Born in Souderton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Warren D. and Elizabeth (Yoder) Landes. She was a graduate of Souderton Area High School.

First and foremost, Phyllis was a homemaker, then worked for three years with Gross & Quade and later with her husband William for the family business known as Proctor Real Estate until their retirement.

In her spare time, she enjoyed doing ceramics, playing card games with friends at Peter Becker, needlepointing and knitting, taking trips to Atlantic City and different casinos. Phyllis also enjoyed being with her family and attending lots of family picnics and celebrations. Most recently, she enjoyed being able to celebrate at her granddaughter's wedding.

Phyllis is survived by her children Tara Hopewell and her husband Joseph of Hawaii, Don Alderfer and his wife Sharon of Telford, PA, Tana Dean and her husband Paul of Idaho and Mori Catania and her husband Anthony of Florida. She is also survived by her stepsister Shiryl Kulp of Souderton, PA and stepbrother James Stover of Florida. Phyllis is also survived by her grandchildren Kari and her husband William, Kelly and her husband Joshua, Joseph and his wife Betsey, Richard and his wife Marlene, as well as AJ and Nicholas. Also surviving are her great grandchildren Grace, Jack, Stella, Joey, Owen and Charlie.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 30th, 2026 at 1:30 PM in the Arbor Conference Center, Maplewood Estates in the Peter Becker Community, 815 Maplewood Drive, Harleysville, PA. Family will receive friends at 1:00 PM until the time of service.
